Rousimar Palhares is back in the win column.
The UFC veteran and former WSOF welterweight champion scored his first winning almost two years, submitting Alexei Ivanov with a heel hook in the main event of Friday’s Fight Night Global 70 event in Russia.
Palhares, who was coming off back-to-back knockout losses to Emil Meek and Michal Material in Venator and KSW, respectively, improves to 19-8 in MMA with his first victory since a third-round submission over Jake Shields in Aug. 2015.
