Round 1: Get ready for a war, as two of the most violent fighters meet in the second fight of the main card. They touch gloves. Wow! Lawler is overwhelming Cerrone with all kinds of punches. Cerrone looks hurt. Lawler slowed downed the pace. Man, did he start off hot. Lawler has now pushed Cerrone against the cage. They break apart. They’re fighting in the clinch now, Lawler landing heavy shots. Cerrone shoots for a takedown but fails. Lawler now pressing Cerrone against the cage. They break away but Lawler is right on his face. Nice knee by Cerrone. Cerrone with a nice double leg takedown gets Lawler on the canvas. Two minutes left. Cerrone working from the guard, landing ground and pound. Cerrone has now advanced to half guard. Beautiful pass to side control by Cerrone. One minute left. hard knee to the body by Cerrone. Lawler scramble back to his feet. Now Cerrone is pressuring Lawler. Insane first round.

Round 2: Lawler took the first, but the momentum is on Cerrone’s side. Cerrone with a solid leg kick. Several punches land for Cerrone. A big head kick misses for Lawler. Cerrone is the one doing the pressuring now, keeping Lawler on his heels. A lot less action here in the second, both fighters are very cautious. Good body kick by Cerrone. Nice left hand counter by Cerrone. Lawler trying to fire against Cerrone but nothing is landing. Lawler’s striking output has decreased significantly. Cerrone lands brutal elbows. And Cerrone finishes off the round with a nice straight right.

Round 3: It’s a one round fight now, at least in my books. Huge head kick by Lawler. Lawler pressing Cerrone against the cage but Cerrone fires back with a knee. Lawler is really bringing in the heat here, pressuring Cerrone. Nice short punches by Cerrone. Lawler with a nice left hook. Three minutes left. Lalwe lands an uppercut. Cerrone shoots for a takedown but comes up short. Lawler is really pressuring Cerrone. A clean left hand rocks Cerrone. Cerrone is looking a bit hurt out there. Nice jab by Cerrone. Another failed shot by Cowboy. Man, Lawler is running down Cerrone here. Solid shot to the body by Lawler. Cerrone seems to be complaining about an eye poke, but Lawler doesn’t care and keeps pushing him back. The bell rings.
