Long Island fighters may have had an up-and-down night at UFC on FOX 25, but the home team pulled through when it mattered most.
Staring down the barrel of a three-fight losing streak, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman gutted out one of the most important wins of his career on Saturday night, overcoming an early knockdown to submit Kelvin Gastelum with a third-round arm triangle and pick up his first victory since May 2015.
