Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 1 salaries: Five fighters earn $10,000

All 10 fighters competing on the inaugural event of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series received $5,000 to show and $5,000 to win, including main event winner Kurt Holobaugh. The Nevada Athletic Commission on Thursday released the event’s finalized salary information to MMA Fighting.

Featherweight veteran Holobaugh defeated Matt Bessette via first-round knockout to earn a UFC contract in the night’s main event, which aired live on UFC Fight Pass. Bantamweight prospect Boston Salmon also earned a UFC deal with his unanimous decision win over Ricky Turcios.

The first installment of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series took place July 11 at The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event kicked off a eight-week run that will feature weekly five-fight cards for the series, which is aimed at showcasing burgeoning talent not yet signed under the UFC umbrella.
