Combate Americas has added five fights to the upcoming Combate Clásico card on July 27.
In the most noteworthy bout, Ricky Palacios (8-1) will move up to featherweight to meet Chris Avila (5-4).
Fighting out of Mission, Texas, Palacios has won five consecutive fights, including all four bouts in Combate Americas. His most recent win was a split decision over Roman Salazar at Combate 13 in April.
Avila (5-4), of Stockton, Calif. is part of the Cesar Gracie fight team and a training partner of the Diaz brothers. He makes his Combate Americas debut after an 0-2 stint in the UFC in which he had a pair of decision losses.
In other matchups, bantamweight Marcelo Rojo (11-4) looks to run his win streak to four when he faces Billy Molina (5-3); Alberto Montes (3-0) meets Jonathan Quiroz (2-2) at featherweight; bantamweight Irvin Rivera (5-3) takes on Chine Duran (8-9); and Joey Ruquet (2-1) clashes with Vinney Pantaleon (1-1) in a featherweight bout.
The event, which is being held at at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center in Miami, is part of a week-long festival related to the El Clásico Miami soccer match on July 29 between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
