There’s been a tradition of MMA fighters appearing in ESPN’s “Body Issue,” including big names like Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, Jon Jones, Miesha Tate and Cris Cyborg.
The latest on that list? Michelle Waterson.
“The Karate Hottie” will strip down and showcase her athletic physique for the magazine’s annual edition, ESPN reported Sunday. She’ll join pro athletes like Ezekiel Elliott, Julian Edelman and Javier Baez.
The ninth annual “Body Issue” will come out July 7 and photos and videos are coming to ESPN.com on July 5.
Waterson, 31, has become one of the most popular female fighters in the UFC and is now represented by UFC owner WME-IMG, the powerhouse Hollywood talent firm. She picked up a huge, first-round submission win over Paige VanZant at UFC on FOX 22 back in December, but fell by second-round submission to Rose Namajunas at UFC on FOX 24 in April. Waterson (14-5) remains a top strawweight contender.
McGregor, the UFC lightweight champion, graced the pages of last year’s magazine.
