Leslie Smith has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 113.
With Lina Lansberg sidelined due to an undisclosed injury, Smith is now set to take on Octagon newcomer Amanda Lemos on July 16, the promotion announced on Thursday. Combate first reported the match-up.
Lemos signs with the UFC after racking up an undefeated 6-0-1 record in the Brazilian circuit, winning and defending the Jungle Fight bantamweight belt. “Amandinha" trains at UFC bantamweight Iuri Alcantara’s team in Brazil.
Smith (9-7-1) enters the fight coming off her third UFC victory, a unanimous decision against Irene Aldana in December. She bounced back from a loss to Cris Cyborg in a 140-pound catchweight bout.
UFC Fight Night 113 marks the promotion’s second-ever event at Glasgow’s SSE Hydor Arena in Scotland, with Gunnar Nelson taking on Santiago Ponzinibbio in the main event.
