The UFC has added a bantamweight bout to its upcoming pay-per-view event.
Scheduled for July 8 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, UFC 213 will feature a clash between Rob Font and Douglas Silva de Andrade in the preliminary portion of the card, the promotion announced following a report by Combate.
Font (13-2) has won three of four UFC bouts by knockout, most recently stopping Matt Schnell in the first round in December. Font’s only loss in the last five years was a decision against John Lineker at UFC 198.
Andrade (24-1) enters the Octagon riding a two-fight winning streak, capped off by the third-round finish over Enrique Briones that earned him a Performance of the Night bonus at UFC Fight Night 98.
UFC 213 is headlined by two title fights. In the main event, bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes rematches Valentina Shevchenko, while Yoel Romero takes on Robert Whittaker for the interim middleweight belt.
