I'm back from vacation and ready to rock. Even though there wasn't much MMA while I was gone, there was a lot of news. Believe it or not, I mostly kept up with it all. That includes Al Iaquinta literally asking (or daring) the UFC to cut him. I don't think it worked, but it's somewhat unprecedented. Then there's Anderson Silva threatening retirement, Nate Diaz saying he doesn't want a third Conor McGregor fight, Luke Rockhold calling for an impromptu middleweight boycott of sorts and more. Not all is well.

That being said, Saturday is a fantastic UFC event, UFC 211. The pay-per-view is - as of the time of this writing - set for 8 hours and 14 fights. It has two title contests, the return of Eddie Alvarez, Demian Maia vs. Jorge Masvidal and so much more. There's a lot to look forward to and we'll discuss all of it.

Plus, boxing is seemingly on a bit of a rebound. The year has already seen a number of great and high-profile contests with more on the way with the announcement of GGG vs. Canelo.
