A pair of welterweight showdowns will top the bill at Bellator 182.

Former Bellator welterweight champ Andrey Koreshkov will meet Chidi Njokuani in the main event of the Aug. 25 bout at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Vernon, N.Y., the company announced Tuesday.

Additionally, the co-feature bout will pit Brennan Ward against Fernando Gonzalez.

Koreshkov (19-2) defeated Douglas Lima to win the title in 2015 before dropping the belt back to Lima in rematch last November. In between, the Russian scored a decision win over former UFC lightweight champ Benson Henderson.

Njokuani (17-4, 1 NC), used to be best known as the brother of former UFC competitor Anthony Njokuani, but he’s done a fine job making his name on his own credentials. Minus a no-contest, Njokuani has won eight in a row, including a 4-0 record in Bellator, most recently earning a decision over Melvin Guillard at Bellator 171.

Ward (14-5) has dropped two out of his past three fights and steps back into the cage for the first time after being on the wrong end of a brutal Paul Daley flying-knee knockout at Bellator 170. Gonzalez (26-14), of Menifee, Calif., has won six of seven, most recently a decision over Brandon Girtz at Bellator 174.
