It’ll be New Jersey vs. Long Island at Nassau Coliseum.
The two men actually fought previously in 2014 for Ring of Combat, with Wade successfully defending his ROC lightweight title against Perez by split decision.
Perez (10-3) came out of a brief retirement in December, falling to Marc Diakiese by unanimous decision. The Howel, N.J., native stepped away from the sport after a knockout win over Sam Stout in 2015, but returned last year. Perez, 27, trains out of Ricardo Almeida’s gym and is a teammate of Frankie Edgar and others.
Wade (11-3) has dropped two in a row, most recently a unanimous decision loss to Islam Makhachev last September. The Long Island native started his UFC career on a three-fight winning streak prior to this recent skid. Wade, 29, was a top wrestler in college and trains out of Long Island MMA.
