Cris Cyborg could be in some hot water with the law.
The top UFC female star punched fellow fighter Angela Magana in the face Sunday during an altercation at the UFC Athlete Retreat in Las Vegas. Cyborg is being cited for misdemeanor battery by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and could have to appear in court, police public information officer Larry Hadfield confirmed with MMA Fighting on Monday. She will not be arrested.
TMZ was the first to report the citation.
Magana went to the hospital after the punch and was treated for a cut on the inside of her lip, TMZ reported. She told cops that doctors had treated her for an “acute head injury” and “cervical strain,” the site stated per sources.
MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani reported Sunday that Cyborg confronted Magana at the retreat over Twitter comments Magana has made about Cyborg over the months and years. Sources told MMA Fighting that one, in particular, set Cyborg off: Magana making fun of her looks in a photo in which she was visiting children battling cancer at a Brazilian hospital.

TMZ reported that police contacted Cyborg, but she did not wish to give her side of the story.
Video of the incident emerged on Cage Pages on Monday afternoon.
On Twitter, Magana denied the details of the TMZ story.
Tmz report is grossly inaccurate. When the police report is printed you will see
