At UFC 200, back in July 2016, Gegard Mousasi took on Brazilian knockout artist Thiago Santos in a middleweight contest. That night Mousasi knocked out Santos in the first round of the fight to earn a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Since the Santos victory, Mousasi has picked up stoppage wins over Vitor Belfort and Uriah Hall, improving his win streak to four in a row and placing himself in the top five of the division.
Now, the Dutch fighter will take on former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman in the co-main event of UFC 210. This pay-per-view event is set to take place on April 8 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y. Daniel Cormier will defend his light heavyweight title in a rematch against Anthony Johnson in the headlining slot of the card.
