Paul Craig has been given a chance to rebound from his first professional loss in front of his home crowd later this summer.
The Scottish fighter has been booked to fight Khalil Rountree in a light heavyweight contest at the UFC’s event in Glasgow, which set to take place on July 16 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The main event for the card has yet to be announced by the promotion.
Craig had an impressive start to his UFC career, submitting Henrique da Silva at UFC on FOX 22 back in December. The 29-year-old fighter then followed up with a technical knockout loss to prospect Tyson Pedro at UFC 209 in March. Craig is currently 9-1 as a professional fighter, and is a former BAMMA light heavyweight champion.
Meanwhile, Rountree will be looking to build off his knockout victory over Daniel Jolly at UFC Fight Night 104 in February. Prior to that, The Ultimate Fighter 23 cast member had a rough start in the UFC, losing his first two bouts to Andrew Sanchez and Pedro. Rountree is currently 5-2 in his professional MMA career.
