UFC Fight Night 107 took a second hit on Saturday morning as the UFC announced that middleweight prospect Tom Breese was deemed “unfit to fight” at the eleventh hour, forcing his undercard bout against Oluwale Bamgbose to be scrapped just minutes before the event was slated to kick off inside the O2 Arena in London, England.

UFC play-by-play broadcaster John Gooden announced the news on the UFC Fight Pass pre-fight broadcast, stating only that Breese had “not been medically cleared to fight.”

“Tom Breese is unfit to fight and has withdrawn from his scheduled bout against Oluwale Bamgbose for medical reasons,” the UFC said in a statement.

The unfortunate development arrived just hours after a bantamweight bout between Ian Entwistle and Brett Johns was similarly scrapped from UFC Fight Night 107 due to last-minute medical complications on Entwistle’s part. Entwistle was hospitalized Saturday morning after weighing in three pounds over the bantamweight limit at Friday’s early morning weigh-ins.

As a result of the two dropouts, UFC Fight Night 107 will proceed as an 11-fight card.

Light heavyweight contenders Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson are expected to square off in the night’s main event.
