A scrappy veteran and an undefeated prospect will cross paths in Kansas City.
Jeremy Stephens and Renato Moicano square off at the UFC Fight Night card on April 15. The bout was announced Wednesday on UFC Tonight.
Stephens (25-13) is known for throwing some of the heaviest hands in the lower weight classes, with 16 of his career victories coming via knockout. But he’s trying to shake himself out of a rut where has lost two of his past three fights, most recently a decision loss to Frankie Edgar at UFC 205.
Moicano (10-0-1), meanwhile, will fight outside of his native Brazil for the first time in his career. He’s 2-0 in the UFC, with his most recent fight a split-decision win over Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC 198. Moicano has five career submission wins.
