Today on the podcast, we'll officially kick off UFC 208 fight week. Prior to the chat, in fact, I'll be in Brooklyn for media day. All of the main card fighters of note are expected to attend and we'll hopefully learn more about them and their futures today. I tend to think of UFC 208 less as a star-studded event, but as a very good Fight Night with surprisingly important stakes. That as true for the main event as it is the co-main.

Speaking of which, there's a looming question about who will get the next title shot at middleweight. If Anderson Silva gets by Derek Brunson on Saturday, who's to say a rematch with Bisping couldn't be arranged? Both fighters want it and the fight likely pulls better commercial returns. Yoel Romero may be the top contender, but he's far from a lock for the next title shot.

There's also a few news and notes floating around: Nate Diaz seemingly doesn't have much interest fighting Eddie Alvarez, Alistair Overeem is trying to steer clear of Mark Hunt's battles with the UFC, Stipe Miocic vs. Junior dos Santos 2 has been arranged and so much more.
