The strawweight division has its next title contender.

Following Jessica Andrade’s thrilling victory over Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night 104, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Andrade would “absolutely” be the next title challenger for Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s 115-pound strap.

“When you see the way she fought tonight, just imagine those two squaring off and the absolute war that will be,” White said on the FOX Sports 1 post-fight show. “That’s going to be a fun fight.”

While Andrade, 25, had an up-and-down UFC career at women’s bantamweight, she has looked like a fighter reborn competing at 115 pounds. The heavy-hitting Brazilian has won a trio of fights in devastating fashion, bludgeoning Jessica Penne and Joanne Calderwood into submission, then battering Hill — the reigning Invicta FC strawweight champion — to pick up a Fight of the Night unanimous decision victory on Saturday in Houston.

Andrade’s performance against Hill, in particular, was impressive, as Andrade waded forward and threw salvo after salvo of powerful hooks to the head and body, besting the accomplished striker, Hill, at her own game.

She’ll now look to carry that momentum into a bid against Jedrzejczyk — the most dominant women’s champion in the UFC — and a fighter who has looked unstoppable over the course of four consecutive title defenses since seizing the title with a one-sided thrashing of Carla Esparza in 2015.

But after watching the confidence and tenacity that Andrade exuded against Hill at UFC Fight Night 104, White is ready to see Andrade take the next step.

“In the women’s division, that’s one of the greatest fights you’ll ever see,” White said of Andrade-Hill. “That fight was incredible. Both girls were getting hit with bombs. Knees, elbows, punches. What a great fight, and that’s absolutely ‘Fight of the Night.’ I said after that fight, if that’s not ‘Fight of the Night,’ we’re in for one hell of a night.”
