Bibiano Fernandes is not going anywhere.
“The Flash” became a free agent after defending his ONE Championship belt in December, and decided to sign a new deal with the Asian promotion after getting offers from some of the top promotions in the world, Fernandes told MMA Fighting.
The 36-year-old fighter, who signed his new multi-fight deal on Friday, also revealed that his new deal includes a job with the promotion after he decides to retire from the sport.
Fernandes (20-3), winner of 19 of his last 20 fights, including seven straight title bouts under the ONE Championship banner, last defended his 135-pound title on Dec. 2, when he beat Reese McLaren via split decision. Prior to the five-round bout, the Brazilian finished Kevin Belingon, Toni Tauru and Dae Hwan Kim.
