Cornerman enters cage, stops fight after referee misses guillotine choke

A cornerman had to invade the cage and stop a fight after a MMA referee missed a submission at Friday’s Super Fight League event in India.

Asha Roka and Hannah Kampf entered the bout with 2-0 record, and Roka improved to 3-0 with a slick guillotine finish in just 42 seconds. However, it took a long time before the fight was actually stopped.

Roka locked in the guillotine and squeezed Kampf’s neck, quickly putting her to sleep. The referee didn’t notice she was out, though, and only intervened after Kampf’s cornerman threw in the towel and entered the cage to stop the fight himself.

Watch the finish below.
