Artem Lobov got the fight he was asking for — and a little more.

During the broadcast of Saturday’s UFC 208, the UFC announced that Lobov will fight Cub Swanson in the main event of an upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Nashville, Tenn. The card is set to take place on April 22 at the Bridgestone Arena.

Swanson’s most recent performance was a ‘Fight of the Year’ candidate against prospect Doo Ho Choi last December at UFC 206. With the win, Swanson extended his three-fight winning streak and propelled himself back into the top-five of the UFC’s featherweight division.

Fighting an unranked opponent might not make the most sense for Swanson, but the 33-year-old veteran told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani that it was the fight the UFC offered.

“It was the fight I was offered, I'm gonna teach him some manners,” Swanson told Helwani.

Meanwhile, Lobov last fought in November at UFC Fight Night 99, where he picked up a decision win over Teruto Ishihara. The SBG Ireland fighter has put together two wins in a row, a run which snapped the two-fight losing streak that began his UFC career in late 2015.

Additionally, the promotion announced several other match ups for the card: Al Iaquinta vs. Diego Sanchez, Thales Leites vs. Sam Alvey, and Dustin Ortiz vs. Brandon Moreno.
