Former Bellator middleweight title challenger Brett Cooper scored an emphatic second-round knockout over Russian welterweight prospect Sharaf Davlatmurodov in the main event of ACB 76 on Saturday night in Gold Coast, Australia.
Cooper caught Davlatmurodov with a crisp uppercut that dropped him to the canvas before the Australian followed up with some grounded shots to hand the Russian his second career loss.
The 30-year-old was forced to overcome adversity when Davlatmurodov landed a massive low shot on him in the first 10 seconds of the contest. After a point was deducted, Davlatmurodov came close to stopping Cooper with a rear-naked choke before the bell sounded to end the round.

TUF veteran and former UFC fighter Dylan Andrews was dropped by a gigantic left hand before being finished by Azamat Amagov in the second round of the co-main event.
Andrews was very cautious throughout the fight as the Phuket Top Team man looked to close the distance and land a big shot. In the second round, Andrews’ lights appeared to go out when Amagov clipped him with a left hand before finishing him with grounded strikes.

Highly touted UK bantamweight Dean Garnett suffered his second consecutive loss with ACB when he was caught in a guillotine in the second round of his fight with Bellator veteran Anthony Leone.
Garnett had all the momentum going into the second round after displaying exceptional takedown defense in the first. Leone snapped the Brit with an overhand right and he locked up the choke as Garnett tried to take him down.
Michael Tobin banked his first win under the ACB banner with a first round bicep slicer against Sam Chan. The Australian looked a completely different fighter competing on home soil having come up on the wrong side of tough defeats to Dean Garnett and Mike Grundy earlier in his promotional tenure.
Former BAMMA bantamweight title contender Alan Philpott came up short in his promotional debut against Islam Yunusov. The Russian dictated the pace of the fight with his takedowns and was able to control the Aspire fighter from top position as he evaded multiple submission attempts.
