Three days after its official announcement, Tim Johnson vs. Luis Henrique is already off the UFC Belem fight card after the Brazilian suffered a biceps injury that requires surgery. MMA Fighting confirmed the news following a report by Combate.
Update: The UFC announced that undefeated Marcelo Golm will replace Henrique against Johnson in Belem.
UFC Belem is scheduled for Feb. 3 at the Mangueirinho Gymnasium. The company has yet to announce the main event.
Johnson (11-4) is looking to get back on track ater losing to Junior Albini earlier this year. Golm (6-0) made quick work of Christian Colombo in his Octagon debut in October, winning via first-round submission.
With 58 days left before the event, Thiago Santos vs. Anthony Smith and Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Joseph Morales complete the trio of bouts already official for the promotion’s first card in the North area of Brazil.
