Guido Cannetti returns to the Octagon at UFC St. Louis, meets Kang Kyung-ho

Guido Cannetti finally has a date for his next UFC bout.

The Argentine fighter, who recently came out of a USADA suspension due to a tainted supplement, will be facing Kyung Ho Kang in a bantamweight contest at UFC St. Louis (UFC Fight Night 124). The event is set to go down on Jan. 14 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.

The news was first reported by MMA Today on Monday, and was later announced by the promotion.

Cannetti is only 1-1 since joining the UFC in 2014. The season one cast member of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America last performance in the Octagon was a win over Hugo Viana at UFC 190 in 2015. “Ninja” was set to return to the Octagon against Marco Beltran at The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 Finale last November, but was pulled by USADA due to a failed drug test.

His opponent, Kang, will also be competing after a long layoff. “Mr. Perfect” is coming back to the UFC after serving a two-year mandatory military service in his home country of South Korea. Prior to the serving in the military, Kang was on a two-fight win streak with wins over Shunichi Shimizu and Michinori Tanaka.
