This is the Promotional Malpractice Live Chat.

In fact, it's the last one of 2017.

On today's podcast, we'll look back at the year in mixed martial arts (MMA). There were many lows, but the truth is there were plenty of highs. And in between, all the craziness in the world. Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match, for crying out loud. We'll look back on all the highlights and lowlights.

We'll also preview the very last (major) MMA event of 2017, namely, UFC 219. The loss of Jimmie Rivera vs. John Lineker hurts, but there's still enough to get the job done. We'll look at the card, discuss what makes it interesting and so much more.

We'll also try to anticipate the changes of the year ahead. What will happen to the sport in 2018 as the UFC ostensibly secures a new television deal? How will this affect the sport? What else is on the horizon? We'll look into it.
