Seo Hee Ham kicked off the holiday weekend with the best performance of her career.
Ham, the reigning ROAD FC women’s atomweight champion, scored a devastating first-round knockout of Invicta FC contender Jinh Yu Frey to successfully defend her title at ROAD FC 45 in Seoul, South Korea. A former UFC strawweight, Ham has flourished since dropping back down to 105 pounds, and that run continued Saturday when she downed Frey with a wicked left hand at the Grand Hilton Convention Center. The official time of the stoppage was 4:40 of the opening round.

Ham (17-8) has now won back-to-back contests by KO/TKO at atomweight since departing the UFC’s 115-pound ranks with a 1-3 Octagon record.
Frey (6-3), meanwhile, sees her run of bad luck in championship fights continue. The 32-year-old American suffered a defeat in her bid for the Invicta FC atomweight title in Sept. 2016 when her contest against Ayaka Hamasaki was controversially stopped due to a second-round cut.
