Andre Fili vs. Dennis Bermudez slated for UFC on FOX 27 in Charlotte

A featherweight clash between Andre Fili and Dennis Bermudez was added to UFC’s upcoming card on FOX, multiple sources told MMA Fighting. UFC on FOX 27 is scheduled to take place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C., on Jan. 27.

Fili (17-5) enters the bout coming off a unanimous decision victory over Artem Lobov in Gdansk, Poland, in October. The Team Alpha Male talent has bounced between wins and losses since signing with the UFC in 2013, racking up a 5-4 record inside the Octagon.

Bermudez (16-7), on the other hand, looks to get back on track following defeats to Chan Sung Jung and Darren Elkins in 2017. The TUF 14 runner-up, who beat the likes of Jimmie Rivera and Akira Corassani on the reality show, has won nine out of 13 bouts since losing the TUF final to Diego Brandao in 2011.

The UFC on FOX card will be headlined by a middleweight rematch between Ronaldo Souza and Derek Brunson.
