Nicco Montano is the new UFC women’s flyweight champion.
The 28-year-old fighter was crowned queen of the UFC’s 125-pound women’s division after a wild, back-and-fouth battle with skilled veteran Roxanne Modafferi in the main event of Friday’s The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. The fight was very competitive and it had its ups and downs for both fighters, but Montano was able to pull off a unanimous decision.
