Round 1: Intense staredown before this one. Namajunas gets a counter-right early. She’s standing right in there with the champion. A brief flurry and both women having success, Jedrzejczyk landing a kick as they separate. Namajunas connects and she gets a knockdown! Namajunas follows her down and lands punches against the cage, but Jedrzejczyk recovers. Namajunas keeping up the pressure, she lands a left hand that puts Jedrzeczyk down again! Ground-and-pound follows, Jedrzejczyk is turtling up, no response, referee John McCarthy calls this one off. Rose Namajunas is the new UFC strawweight champion.
