A pair of former UFC title contenders will make their Bellator debuts next month on the other side of the Atlantic.

Bantamweight Michael McDonald will meet Peter Ligier in the main event of Bellator 191 in Newcastle, England, on Dec. 15, the company announced Wednesday.

Additionally, Bellator announced that flyweight standout Valerie Letourneau will make her company debut on the same card, as she’ll meet Kate Jackson in the evening’s co-feature bout.

McDonald (17-4) signed with Bellator in March after a memorable run in the UFC. He was just 22 when he fought Renan Barao for an interim bantamweight title in Feb. 2013, a bout he lost late in the fourth round. All in all, the Modesto, Calif. native went 6-3 in the UFC.

Ligier, of Paris, carries an 8-1-1 record into his Bellator debut. He’s won three straight fights, is 4-0-1 in his past five, and has finishes in five of his eight wins.

Letourneau (8-6), meanwhile, looks for a fresh start in Bellator’s flyweight division. The American Top Team competitor rode a four-fight win streak into a shot at then-strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s title at UFC 193, but that bout kicked off a three-fight losing streak she still carries.

Jackson, of Cornwall, England, takes a 9-2-1 record into the bout. She’s won five consecutive fights, including an upset win over veteran Colleen Schneider in her Bellator debut at Bellator 182.
