Yesterday I gave my manager and friend @dewaynezinkin his championship belt. DZ called me in 2001 and said this sport may be for you , took some time to start but I am glad I listened. I have just been so lucky to be surrounded by genuinely good , caring people in my career. The world has changed and it happened fast. Murderous psychpaths driving trucks through New York, home made bombs at placed marathons, insane killers perched in hotels over a concert, radicalized fanatics looking for every soft target to capitalize on. I can’t stand back and do nothing while others are being hurt. I can’t wait and see what happens. I have to help. There is nothing I can do about that and I know there are millions of others just like me. They just need the training. You want to save lives? You want to be a sheepdog? It is never easy to find the best way to serve. Ultimately it’s about hard work, discipline, and sacrifice. Obviously not everyone needs to be a trigger puller. Hard work, dedication will pay off in the long run as long as you love what you do. I am relentless in this pursuit and is a lifelong commitment. I wish I could tell you that there was an easy way but there isn’t. You just have to get 1% better every day. We are doing a weeklong course on shooting, fighting, situational awareness, and tactical medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada. December 4-10th. Anyone and everyone can come. Come and learn.
