The UFC has begun loading up with Australian talent for their upcoming trip to Perth.

On Saturday, officials confirmed that Brisbane’s Ben Nguyen and Sydney’s Tyson Pedro have been added to the UFC 221 card, following a report from The West Australian.

Nguyen (18-6), a native of South Dakota who has made Australia his home, will meet Jussier Formiga (20-5) in a flyweight bout. “Ben 10” has won two straight and four of his five UFC appearances, with all but one of those victories coming by way of knockout or submission. He was last seen picking up a 49-second rear-naked choke victory over Tim Elliott this past June.

In the light heavyweight division, Pedro (6-1) looks to bounce back from his first loss when he fights Saparbek Safarov (8-1). The 26-year-old Pedro finished his first six pro bouts in the first round, including two wins inside the Octagon, before dropping a unanimous decision to Ilir Latifi at UFC 215.

Nguyen vs. Formiga and Pedro vs. Safarov are the first two bouts announced for UFC 221, which takes place at the Perth Arena in Perth, Australia on Feb. 10.
