James Gallagher’s knee injury has left Bellator without its biggest regional draw ahead of an upcoming Dublin event on Nov. 10, but the promotion has drafted in Irish veteran Paul Redmond as a late addition to the 3 Arena date.

Brazilian Sergio de Jesus Santos (4-6) is set to meet the Team Ryano fighter in a catchweight bout that will be contested at 73 kg (approx. 161 pounds).

Bellator confirmed the fight to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.

UFC veteran Redmond recently took a split decision win over Lukasz Chlewicki at KSW 40 in the same venue that will host Bellator 187. Before signing to fight with KSW, “Redser” scored a second round submission win over former BAMMA lightweight champion, Rob Sinclair, at BAMMA 30.

Redmond previously signed to fight for Bellator ahead of the promotion’s first visit to Dublin, Bellator 169, where he was booked to face featherweight title contender, Daniel Weichel. However, a fractured elbow ruled him out of proceedings and his next outing was contested under the BAMMA banner.

Following his recent win at KSW, Redmond hoped to open up title opportunities with both BAMMA and KSW. In his last title bout at BAMMA 28, the leg lock specialist lost a controversial decision to another UFC veteran, Norman Parke.

De Jesus Santos has a professional record of 4-6. In his last outing, he came up short against Brazilian Julio Cesar Alves at Hombres de Honor 82.
