Video: GSP receives raucous chants, Michael Bisping jeered at Montreal Canadiens game

New, comments

Georges St-Pierre received a warm welcome from his hometown fans in Montreal on Saturday.

His rival Michael Bisping? Not so much.

The two UFC stars were invited take part in the ceremonial puck drop at the Toronto Maple Leafs-Montreal Canadiens game at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, and Bisping was buried in boos as he stepped onto the ice.

St-Pierre on the other hand, received loud “GSP” chants in his return to the arena where he won welterweight championship bouts against the likes of Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit, and Josh Koscheck. He returns from a four-year hiatus from competition on Nov. 4 when he challenges Bisping for the middleweight championship at UFC 217 in New York City, N.Y. at Madison Square Garden.
