Nikita Krylov scored another quick finish outside the UFC.
Four months after submitting Stjepan Bekavac in 53 seconds, the Ukrainian talent met former Bellator light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newton in the main event of Fight Nights Global 77 Friday in Russia, and scored a devastating knockout in just 43 seconds.
Krylov left the UFC earlier this year after losing to Misha Cirkunov. That defeat snapped a five-fight finishing streak against Cody Donovan, Stanislav Nedkov, Marcos Rogerio de Lima, Francimar Barroso and Ed Herman.
Newton has now lost three in a row, dropping to 1-3 since leaving Bellator in 2016. The American light heavyweight, who won and defended the 205-pound title twice in Bellator, has only won one of his last seven fights.
