Rising star James Gallagher won’t be fighting in Ireland next month after all.
According to Bellator officials, Gallagher recently suffered a knee injury in training, forcing him out of the Bellator 187 main event against Jeremiah Labiano.
As a result, the undefeated A.J. McKee (9-0), who happens to be a rival of Gallagher, will now fight Brian Moore (10-5), a teammate of Gallagher’s at SBG Ireland, in the main event of the Nov. 10 card at the 3Arena in Dublin.
Decky Dalton, McKee’s previously scheduled opponent on the card, will now fight Andre Goncalves, Moore’s original opponent. Labiano will be moved to Bellator 188 on Nov. 16 to fight Noad Lahat in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Gallagher is expected to be out of action for 6-to-8 weeks, per sources.
