Henry Cejudo

UFC flyweight contender Henry Cejudo is one of the more than 20,000 people who has been affected by the recent wildfires in Northern California.

However, contrary to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle, Cejudo told MMAFighting.com on Tuesday that he did not suffer a broken ankle trying to escape Monday in Santa Rosa, Calif. He did suffer burns on his right foot, though.

Cejudo provided the following photos of his burned foot to MMAFighting.com:

Unfortunately for Cejudo, he said that he lost his 2008 Olympic Gold Medal in the fire.

According to CNN.com, at least 11 people are dead as a result of the wildfires that have ravaged Northern California for three days. Santa Rosa is currently one of the most affected areas with a reported seven deaths but local authorities are fearing that number will rise. Thousands in the region are currently misplaced, while hundreds are still reportedly missing.

Cejduo is currently scheduled to fight Sergio Pettis at UFC 218 on Dec. 2 in Detroit. According to sources, Cejudo will still be able to compete on the card.
