A flyweight bout between Jussier Formiga and Ray Borg was added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Fortaleza, Brazil, on March 11. MMA Fighting confirmed the news with sources following a report by Combate.

Formiga (19-4) returns to action after being forced out of a clash with Sergio Pettis in January due to an ankle injury. The Brazilian enters the fight coming off a decision win over Dustin Ortiz last September, improving to 4-1 in his last five bouts.

Borg (10-2), who also won four of his last five UFC fights, last defeated Louis Smolka at UFC 207 in December. "The Tazmexican Devil" was originally slated to face Fredy Serrano and Ian McCall prior to his bout with Smolka in 2016, but pulled out of both fights due to medical reasons.

UFC Fight Night 106 takes place at the Olympic Training Center in Fortaleza, and features a middleweight clash between Vitor Belfort and Kelvin Gastelum in the main event.

The first UFC event in Brazil in 2017 will also feature Edson Barboza vs. Beneil Dariush, Mauricio Rua vs. Gian Villante, Bethe Correia vs. Marion Reneau and Paulo Henrique Costa vs. Garreth McLellan.
