Mixed martial arts legend B.J. Penn led the disclosed payroll for UFC Fight Night 103, earning $150,000 for his unsuccessful comeback bid against featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez. The Arizona Department of Gaming on Tuesday released the event’s salary information to MMA Fighting.

Fighting for the first time in nearly three years, Penn suffered a lopsided second-round TKO loss to Rodriguez in UFC Fight Night 103’s main event, likely marking the end of the road for the 38-year-old UFC Hall of Famer. Rodriguez, a TUF Latin America winner considered by many to be one of the most talented prospects in the featherweight division, earned $100,000 in victory.

UFC Fight Night 103 took place Jan. 15 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena Phoenix, Arizona. The night’s main card aired live on FOX Sports 1.

Aside from the two headliners, only one other fighter on the card hit the six-figure mark in earnings, as longtime UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon cashed $116,000 for his controversial split decision victory over Marcin Held in the night’s co-main event.

In addition to their commission-reported salaries, Rodriguez, Aleksei Oleinik, Augusto Mendes, and Frankie Saenz also took home $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.
