One of the prospects shown in the latest episode of Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight reality show has his first UFC bout scheduled.
Ricardo Ramos, who signed with the promotion after tapping Alfred Khashakyan last August, is set to meet Michinori Tanaka at UFC Fight Night 104 in Houston, Texas, on March 4. The UFC announced the match-up on Tuesday.
Ramos (9-1) suffered the only setback of his professional career when fighting for the Legacy FC bantamweight title last February. “Carcacinha" only went the distance once in his career, finishing six of his opponents by way of submission.
Tanaka (11-2) looks to get back on track after losing to Rani Yahya via decision in September, dropping to 2-2 inside the Octagon. The Japanese bantamweight signed with the UFC in 2014 after winning nine straight in Asia.
UFC Fight Night 104 takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, and features the return of “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung against Dennis Bermudez in the main event.
