A women's strawweight bout pitting top contender Claudia Gadelha and Cortney Casey has been added to UFC Fight Night 100. The news was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.
This will be Gadelha's first fight since losing to Joanna Jedrzejczyk in a title bout at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale back in July. The 27-year-old Brazilian is 13-2 as a professional fighter with her only two losses coming to the champion Jędrzejczyk. Gadelha is also ranked no. 1 contender in the division.
Meanwhile, Casey, is ranked no. 14 in the division, but is ridding a two-fight winning streak with victories over Cristina Stanciu and Randa Markos. The 29-year-old Hawaiian is 6-3 as a professional fighter, and 2-2 in the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 100 takes place on Nov. 19 at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil. Light heavyweights Alexander Gustafsson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira are scheduled to headline the card.
