A bantamweight bout pitting Brad Pickett and Iuri Alcantara has been added to UFC 204 in Manchester, England. MMA Fighting confirmed the news with sources.
Pickett was originally scheduled to fight Henry Briones at UFC Fight Night 93 in September, but Briones was pulled from the card for undisclosed reasons. The British fighter will now fight in front of his home country just a month later, and will face the Brazilian Alcantara.
Pickett returned to the winning column earlier this year when he defeated Francisco Rivera at UFC Fight Night 84 in London. Prior to that, the 37-year-old fighter was on a three-fight losing streak that included a run at flyweight.
His opponent, Alcantara, is 1-2 in his past three trips to the octagon. He last competed at UFC on Fox 18 in January where he lost a decision to Jimmie Rivera.
UFC 204 takes place on Oct. 8 and will be headlined by Michael Bisping, as he attempts to defend his UFC middleweight title against Dan Henderson.
