Aisling Daly has been forced to withdraw from her upcoming bout with Michelle Waterson at UFC Fight Night 93 due to injury. The news was first reported by MMA Junkie, and was later confirmed to MMA Fighting by UFC officials.
Daly last fought in her home town of Dublin almost a year ago at UFC Fight Night 76. There, the Irish strawweight picked up a unanimous decision win over Ericka Almeida, bouncing back from a decision loss to Randa Markos at UFC 186.
Meanwhile, Waterson is in search for her second UFC victory. 'The Karate Hottie' successfully made her UFC debut defeating Angela Magana at The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale back in July, 2015, but hasn't fought since, as a knee injury kept her out of competition.
Now healthy, the UFC is looking to keep Waterson on the card by seeking a replacement opponent for her.
UFC Fight Night 93 takes place on Sept. 3 in Hamburg, Germany. Heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett are scheduled to battle in the main event of the card.
