The UFC's return to Manila, Philippines is coming together, as the promotion announced two new bouts.

Cole Miller (21-10) will take on Mizuto Hirota (17-7) in a featherweight clash, and a women's strawweight battle between Seo Hee Ham (16-7) and Danielle Taylor (7-2) has also been added.

The long-time UFC veteran Miller is currently on a three-fight winless streak, having lost his last outing against Alex Caceres at UFC 199 in Inglewood, California. Before then his fight with Jim Alers ended in a "no contest" when Miller was inadvertently poked him the eye and unable to continue. Before his recent skid, the 32-year old Miller had won back-to-back fights against Andy Ogle and Sam Sicilia.

For the 35-year old Hirota, it's a chance to make a more emphatic statement after his last fight against Teruto Ishihara ended in a split draw at UFC Fight Night 75 in Saitama. Before then Hirota had won three in a row outside the UFC, after an initial stint where he dropped back-to-back decisions against Rani Yahya and Rodrigo Damm.

The Korean fighter Ham, 29, will be making her fourth UFC appearance. She is coming off of a decision loss against Bec Rawlings at UFC Fight Night 85 in Brisbane, yet she scored her first UFC victory against Cortney Casey last November. That bout was deemed Fight of the Nigh at UFC Fight Night 79 in Seoul.

She'll be facing the 26-year old California native Taylor, who dropped a narrow split decision against Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night 92 earlier this month in Salt Lake City.

UFC Fight Night 97, which will feature a headlining bout between B.J. Penn and Ricardo Lamas, takes place Oct. 15 at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Manila, Philippines. It will stream in its entirely on UFC Fight Pass.
