A lightweight bout between Beneil Dariush and Rashid Magomedov is set to take place at The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 Finale. The news was announced by UFC Español on Tuesday.
Dariush, who's currently ranked No. 11 in the UFC lightweight division, recently returned to the wining column with a first-round knockout win over James Vick at UFC 199 back in June. Prior to that, the 27-year-old fighter suffered a submission loss to Michael Chiesa at UFC on FOX 19, snapping a five-fight winning streak that included victories over Michael Johnson, Daron Cruickshank and Jim Miller.
His opponent, Magomedov, is ranked No. 15 in the UFC lightweight division and currently rides a 12-fight wining streak that includes four UFC victories. The Dagestanian fighter last fought on November at UFC Fight Night 77 in Brazil, where he outpointed Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert Gilbert Burns.
The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 Finale takes place in Mexico City, Mexico on Nov. 5. Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is scheduled to fight top-lightweight contender Tony Ferguson in the main event of the card.
