Less than a week after getting his first UFC win, undefeated welterweight Mike Perry already has a date and opponent for his return to the Octagon. The promotion announced on Friday that "Platinum" will take on Danny Roberts at UFC 204 in Manchester, England, on Oct. 8.
Perry (8-0) impressed in his first appearance under the UFC banner, knocking out Hyun Gyu Lim in less than four minutes at last weekend’s UFC 202 in Las Vegas. Throughout his MMA career, Perry finished all of his opponents via knockout or technical knockout.
Perry was on The MMA Hour on Monday to talk about his win, and his cornerman Alex Nicholson’s controversial comments towards Lim before the UFC 202 bout.
Roberts (13-1) is also unbeaten inside the Octagon, having chocked out Nathan Coy with a triangle in his promotional debut last December, and earned his seventh straight victory with a decision over Dominique Steele in April.
UFC 204 takes place at the Manchester Arena in England, and features Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson 2 for the middleweight title in the main event.
