Michelle Waterson just can't catch a break. Days after losing UFC Fight Night 92 opponent Aisling Daly due to injury, Waterson posted an x-ray to her Instagram account showing a broken finger that will likely take her off the Hamburg card as well.
"So this happened on Thursday morning," Waterson wrote. "The fact that I'm so close to the fight and this sh*t happened just really pisses me off. I know my will is being tested, and I will push forward. My fight has definitely not been fought in the cage this last year, trust me when I say I will be better for it all....... but Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. That is all."
UFC officials have yet to make a formal announcement about Waterson or Daly's status for UFC Fight Night 93.
Waterson (13-4), the former Invicta FC atomweight champion, has fought only once since signing with the UFC last year due to a variety of injuries, including a knee injury and a broken hand. The 30-year-old Waterson defeated TUF veteran Angela Magana via third-round submission in her long Octagon appearance in July 2015.
UFC Fight Night 92 takes place Sept. 3 at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Heavyweight contenders Josh Barnett and Andrei Arlovski collide in the night's main event.
