UFC 200 results: Joe Lauzon rolls over Diego Sanchez

LAS VEGAS -- Joe Lauzon didn't waste much time putting his stamp on UFC 200.

Lauzon took it to Diego Sanchez in the lightweight Fight Pass feature bout Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena, landing punches early and often before the bout was waved off at just 1:26.

"It was super satisfying," Lauzon (26-11) said after his 25th career stoppage victory. "It's great to be back here."

Lauzon caught a backpedaling Sanchez (26-9) flush on the jaw with a left hand which dropped him. He continued landing shots to the downed Sanchez. While Sanchez got back to his feet, Lauzon was relentless. A wobbly Lauzon escaped, but Lauzon hunted him down and landed another big shot which sent Sanchez's mouthpiece flying. The bout was finally waved off a bit too late.

A veteran of 20 UFC fights dating back to UFC 63, Lauzon hopes to add to his 13 post-fight bonuses.

"I always work on my boxing game," Lauzon said. "I was healthy, good to go, very happy tonight."
