TUF 23 Finale bonuses: Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha earn Fight of the Night

After a back-and-forth battle, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha earned Fight of the Night bonuses. The news was announced at the post-fight conference.

Jedrzejczyk successfully defended her women's strawweight title against Gadelha in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale. However, that victory came with adversity, as Gadelha controlled the champion on the ground in the first two rounds of the fight. In rounds three, four and five, Jedrzejczyk found her rhythm and out-stroke a tired Gadelha. It was a grueling fight in which both Jedrzejczyk and Gadelha earned an extra $50,000 in Fight of the Night bonuses.

Additionally, Doo Ho Choi and Tatiana Suarez earned $50,000 in Performance of the Night bonuses.

The 25-year-old Choi impressed the Las Vegas crowd by making quick work of veteran Thiago Tavares, knocking Tavares out in the first round. 'The Korean Super Boy' is now on a 13-fight winning streak with eight finishes in a row. He remains undefeated in his young UFC career.

Meanwhile, Suarez submitted Amanda Cooper with a D'Arce choke to become the TUF 23 strawweight champion. This marks Suarez' second submission victory and she's now 4-0 as a professional fighter.
