A welterweight bout pitting Erick Montaño and Randy Brown has been added to UFC Fight Night 94. The news was announced by UFC Español on Wednesday.
Montaño will be fighting for the first time since defeating Enrique Marin at UFC Fight Night 78 to win The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2 welterweight tournament. The Mexican fighter will be fighting on the same card as his brother Augusto Montaño. Montaño is currently on a three-fight wining streak, and has a professional MMA record of 8-3.
His opponent, Brown, was featured in the UFC's show Dana White's Looking for a Fight and was signed to the UFC shortly after the show. Brown made his UFC debut back in January at UFC on Fox 18, defeating Matt Dwyer. His last fight was at UFC on Fox 19 in April where he lost to Michael Graves, losing his undefeated record
UFC Fight Night 94 takes place on Sept. 17 at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. Lightweights Michael Johnson and Dustin Poirier are scheduled to fight in the main event of the card.
